Track endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitat, cross the breathtaking Virunga ranges, and reflect on Rwanda’s history at the Kigali Genocide Memorial — wildlife, culture and unforgettable scenery in just three days.
Itinerary
Day 1 — Kigali → Mgahinga Gorilla NP (Uganda). Breakfast in Kigali, safari briefing, visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial, then drive across the border to Mgahinga through lush hills and volcanic landscapes. Overnight: Travelers Rest Hotel or similar.
Day 2 — Gorilla Tracking in Mgahinga. Early breakfast and park briefing, then a ranger-guided trek to a gorilla family. Spend a magical hour observing them, then return to relax. Overnight: Travelers Rest Hotel or similar.
Day 3 — Return to Kigali, Rwanda. Relaxed breakfast, cross back into Rwanda with final views of the Virunga volcanoes, drop-off at your hotel or Kigali airport.
